Cactus Nails!

Hey guys! As soon as I did my last set of nails I really wanted to paint them again because they were so pretty.. unfortunately, because they were so pretty, I also wanted to keep them for as long as I could! Turns out the option that requires the least amount of work tends to be the one that is chosen... :P Anyway, after a while they started to chip, so I decided today it was time to paint them again (yay!) Here is what I did:

I think they are pretty cool... As usual though, I didn't come up with this design on my own! I found a really cool print on Pinterest (here) and tried to replicate it on my nails. Its not perfect, but I am quite pleased :-). Now for a bunch more photos for you to have a peek at!

The polishes I used for this design are:
China Glaze Snow
China Glaze Liquid Leather
China Glaze Def Defying
China Glaze Gaga For Green
China Glaze Four Leaf Clover
China Glaze Flyin' High

Hope you enjoyed these nails! See you next time :)

A Bouquet of Flowers!

Hey guys!

How are you all today? I went canyoning over the weekend again and managed to hurt my foot by jumping off a rock into a pool and going a little too far... The worst part though (I think) was going to the doctor to get it checked and the nurse thinking I was an adrenalin junkie that jumps off cliffs all the time... oops! Anyway, I also did some house sitting and to say thank-you I was given a beautiful bunch of flowers! They were so lovely that I thought they would be perfect inspiration for this weeks set of nails!

I also realised I say "this weeks nails" alot, especially considering I'm the worst at uploading regularly or weekly. The plan is to upload at least weekly though.. So that's a start right? Anyway, back to the nails - I really love these! I'm not sure if this is where I thought I was going with them when I started, but super happy with how they turned out. Also, I haven't made a tutorial for these - with nails like this it makes it really hard to paint the detail with the camera in the way. With saying that, if anyone wants a tutorial I might end up making one, who knows! I think maybe I should just work on my set up, to be able to have it in a way that doesn't make it extra tricky!

Anywho, here are all the photos I took, as well as a couple with the flowers in it too! Mmm so pretty!

Phew! That was alot of pictures...
The polishes I used for these nails were:
Jessica Cosmetics Sharktooth
Jessica Cosmetics Flirty
China Glaze Heli-Yum
China Glaze Tart-y for the Party
OPI Honk if you love OPI
China Glaze Gaga for Green
China Glaze Starboard
China Glaze Lemon Fizz
China Glaze Liquid Leather

Hope you enjoyed this post and these nails! See you next time :-)

Detailed purple, grey and white floral designs

Hey guys! Today I have some new nails to show you! I am really slow this week... again! Sorry about that, I am super busy at the moment so I'm finding it hard to do my nails consistently, but I am trying to get them done as often as I can, so bear with me please :)

Cute Cartoon Floral Nail Art

Hey guys!! Before I start talking about my nails, which we all know i love to do, I just thought I would see if there are any other tay tay fans out there that have been listening to 'shake it off' non-stop... Thats totally a good excuse for not doing my uni work right? I am loving it!
Anyway, today I have some more floral nail art to show you! Because, you know, who doesn't like florals right? These ones are once again inspired by the wonderful Lindsey over at Wondrously Polished, Though my version came out quite a bit differently to hers.

Daisy Nails!

Hey guys! I have been sick all week and I'm just starting my thesis so these are a bit later in the week than usual, sorry! I will try and get them done once a week. I hate leaving them longer! Anyway, I chose a taupe background and my plan was to do a colourful floral design. I tried a couple of things, but nothing looked any good and then I thought of this design I saw a while back by NailStorming and tried some daisies!

More pictures after the break!

Spotty Floral Pattern Nails

Hi everyone! This is kinda early in the week for me to be posting new nails, but I have meetings with my thesis supervisor every wednesday now so I think monday nails will have to become a thing. I think this will be a good thing! Okay, so today's nails are inspired by the wonderful, and fantastically talented, Wondrously Polished. You should all go check out her blog here, She does the most beautiful and detailed designs, and some of my favourite florals! The nails I was inspired by are these. Though I changed up the colour palette a little.

Flower Pattern Nails

Hey guys! I didn't get time to do my nails during the week which was a bit sad, but I have a good excuse. I was skiing for the week! So to make up for it I did some new nails today.

Floral Nails and pictorial!

Hey guys! I opened my shoe boxes to get my polish out and it smells a lot like acetone... I store it on its side, do you think the acetone could start to leak out of the bottle? I think it might be, maybe I will transfer it to another bottle. Though I have dropped a number of brushes in the bottle and now it is kinda a weird colour. I probably could ditch it and start with a brand new bottle!
Anyway, onto my nails! I was googling floral patterns (this seems to be how I come across my designs lately) and I found this pretty one that I though would work well on my nails! I have been wanting to do another watercolour design and this one incorporates that and lets me practise my detailing!

Oh, and this is the picture I was basing my nail art on! I didn't end up doing the lighter roses, but I think it translated pretty well!

I also made a tutorial!
To do the watercolour background I used the technique that I learnt here from the amazing MrCandiiPants! The roses were drawn on with a short nail art brush that I have cut down to make it very fine.

The polishes I used were:
China Glaze White on White
OPI Samoan Sand
China Glaze Something Sweet
China Glaze Heli-Yum
OPI Green-Wich Villiage
China Glaze Starboard
China Glaze Adventure Red-y

That's all for today! See you later guys :-)
