Mario Kart Nails!

Hey Guys, new nails today! These were pretty fun, but quite intricate so they took ages! So I have been hanging out at my mates house and we all have been playing a lot of Mario Kart lately. So for today's nails, I have decided to used it as my inspiration! I even did things on my right hand (though never quite as good... :P)
Also, I hope you are prepared for a lot of pictures... I couldn't decide which ones to use!

On my left hand I drew/painted Mario, Yoshi, Princess Peach, Toad and Bowser on my pinky. On my right hand I tried to draw the Mario Kart logo... which as you can see somehow kept growing as a painted. Then on my thumb I drew a map of the track. I made up the track... not the exact route, but the same style.

For these I used HEAPS of polish... so I don't think I will list it all here. I will say I used my usual China Glaze White on White as my base, and OPI Don't Pretzel My Buttons as the map base colour. The Mario Kart logo was done using a red, orange and yellow blended together to get the gradient. The black I used was China Glaze Liquid Leather. I have been thinking of trying acrylic paints for black outlines and such, but for some reason I can't shake the feeling that that is somehow cheating? I don't know, maybe I'm crazy... but maybe when I get low on my black supply, I will have to!

I am super happy with the nails, probably my favourite yet, so thanks to my friend Kuo for suggesting them!

Lolly Nails

Hey guys,
Today I have some new nails for you all to see! I have been super busy at uni lately so I haven't had much time to think of new nail ideas. Luckily Facebook is around so I asked what I should do. I got a bunch of good ideas, some I think I might keep in mind for next time I am running out of ideas! Anyway, the one I chose for my nails today was.. Lollies!

I am super happy with how the jelly beans came out! They are easily my favourite nail. I also am really pleased with the mnm's and skittles nails. The lolly wrapper ones and the snakes though didn't come out how I wanted.
Though I do think they look really fun together!

Polishes I used:
China Glaze White on White
China Glaze Salsa
China Glaze Happy Go Lucky
China Glaze Hanging in the Balance
China Glaze Gaga for Green
China Glaze Papaya Punch
OPI Decades of Shades

Hope you guys liked them!
See you later :-)

Google Nails!

Hey guys!
Today I went to Google for the day for gTIPs (Google Technical Interview Prep session). So I figured, what would be the coolest thing I could do... paint my nails Google style!
So I decided on the 5 most recognisable Google icons. I decided on the g with colourful background, the little android man, the maps icon, chrome icon and you-tube icon.

The polishes I used today were:
China Glaze White on White
China Glaze Def Defying (lime green)
China Glaze Salsa (red)
China Glaze Happy Go Lucky (Yellow)
China Glaze Lemon Fizz (light yellow)
China Glaze Hanging in the Balance (Blue)
China Glaze Gaga For Green (mid green)
China Glaze Starboard (Dark green)

Hope you guys like them!

Floral Nails and pictorial!

Hey guys! I opened my shoe boxes to get my polish out and it smells a lot like acetone... I store it on its side, do you think the acetone could start to leak out of the bottle? I think it might be, maybe I will transfer it to another bottle. Though I have dropped a number of brushes in the bottle and now it is kinda a weird colour. I probably could ditch it and start with a brand new bottle!
Anyway, onto my nails! I was googling floral patterns (this seems to be how I come across my designs lately) and I found this pretty one that I though would work well on my nails! I have been wanting to do another watercolour design and this one incorporates that and lets me practise my detailing!

Oh, and this is the picture I was basing my nail art on! I didn't end up doing the lighter roses, but I think it translated pretty well!

I also made a tutorial!
To do the watercolour background I used the technique that I learnt here from the amazing MrCandiiPants! The roses were drawn on with a short nail art brush that I have cut down to make it very fine.

The polishes I used were:
China Glaze White on White
OPI Samoan Sand
China Glaze Something Sweet
China Glaze Heli-Yum
OPI Green-Wich Villiage
China Glaze Starboard
China Glaze Adventure Red-y

That's all for today! See you later guys :-)

Leafy nails

Hey guys, today I have some new nails! I was struggling with ideas for this one. My friend had requested I do foxes jumping... but I am not so confident that they will come out like foxes, and instead they will look like red/orange/brown blobs. Anyway, I might try them later on when I am feeling super arty. Today I did some leafy nails instead. I was googling patterns and i found a really cool one that I thought would translate well onto nails!.
So that's enough rambling, here are my nails:

Oh, and this was my inspiration! How pretty is it! :P
